Magic Samuel Eto'o...
Le Cameroun avait fort à faire dès son premier match face à l'Angola, un des cinq participants à la prochaine coupe du monde 2006 en Allemagne. Mission accomplie de la plus belle des manières, 3 buts à 1 pour les lions, avec un triplé de Samuel Eto'o, qui a trouvé aujourd'hui avec les lions la même efficacité qu'il a avec le FC Barcelone.
Rudolf Douala a réalisé un très bon match sur le coté gauche
Dès l'entame, les lions ont pris le contrôle du match, avec Jean II Makoun omniprésent à la récupération. Et c'est Douala qui s'offrait la première occasion à la 17e minute sur un corner de Ngom Komé, en décroisant sa tête bien sauvée par le gardien. Une minute plus tard, sur un coup franc obtenu par Jean II Makoun, Samuel Eto'o tirait un coup franc de génie qui contournait le mur pour aller se loger directement dans la lucarne droite du goal, pour offrir l'ouverture du score aux lions indomptables. Les Camerounais continuaient leur domination, mais sur leur première véritable occasion, les Angolais obtenaient un penalty suite à une faute de Souleymanou sur Akwa, qui permettait aux siens d'égaliser. Les Camerounais repartaient dès lors à l'assaut des buts adverses, et Eto'o déviait de la tête pour Webo qui croisait trop sa frappe, et 3 minutes plus tard, Geremi perçait sur le coté gauche, mais sa frappe dévissée trouvait Webo qui remisait pour Makoun dont la frappe fut complètement manquée. Mais peu après, Samuel Eto'o, providence camerounaise, trouvait le chemin des filets pour la seconde fois, en reprenant de la tête un bon centre de Douala, après un festival sur le coté droit. Les deux équipes se sont séparées sur ce score à la mi temps. Après la reprise, les Angolais ont tenté de prendre le controle du match, ce qu'ils ont réussi pendant un moment, mais sans arriver à percer face à un milieu et une défense très regroupée et très rigoureuse, malgré quelques occasions d'Akwa, l'homme le plus en forme du coté Angolais. Mais Samuel Eto'o, très en forme, après une belle percée de Ngom Kome enterrait définitivement les espoirs angolais d'une superbe frappe à l'entrée de la surface, pour son premier triplé en coupe d'Afrique des nations, et premier triplé avec les lions. Ensuite, les Camerounais pouvaient tranquillement attendre la fin du match, en réalisant carrément la passe à dix, face à des Angolais visiblement à court physiquement.
Omniprésent, Makoun a ratissé le milieu comme il le fait à Lille
Dans l'ensemble, les Camerounais ont réalisé un bon match, faisant preuve de beaucoup plus de réalisme que d'habitude, avec un Samuel Eto'o inspiré, auteur d'un triplé, qui s'affiche déja comme le meilleur buteur de la CAN. A ses cotés, Webo a réalisé un bon match en tant que pivot, et les deux attaquants ont une certaine complémentarité, complémentarité qu'on cherchait chez les lions depuis que Mboma a pris sa retraite. Au milieu, Douala aura été très en forme et très à l'aise sur le coté droit, et aura très souvent affolé ses vis à vis, et passeur décisif pour le deuxième but de Samuel Eto'o. A gauche, Ngom Komé aura réalisé un match solide, alternant le travail défensive avec les dribbles sur son coté. Passeur décisif pour le troisième but de Samuel Eto'o si on peut le dire, tant la frappe de l'attaquant barcelonais était belle. Makoun quand a lui, aura été le pilier du milieu de terrain. Omniprésent, tant a la récupération que dans les relances, à l'origine du coup franc qui a occasionné le premier but, le milieu lillois a réalisé un presque sans-fautes. Derrière, la défense a fait ce qu'elle avait à faire, malgré quelques erreurs néanmoins, elle parait impériale dans les airs. A noter que Geremi est définitivement replacé en défense, et semble la solution à tous les problèmes de ce coté là.
Espérons que les lions continueront sur cette lancée, jusqu'au terme de cette coupe d'Afrique.
A noter que Rigobert Song fêtait sa 100e sélection.

The Cameroonians had a lot to prove today, facing Angola, qualified for the next World Cup in Germany. Mission quite well complete as the lions have won 3 goals to 1 with a hat trick of Samuel Eto’o. With this first hat trick, Samuel Eto’o has been today as efficient as he’s used to be with FC Barcelona.
As soon as the match began, the indomitable lions took the control of the game, Jean II makoun being everywhere for stealing balls. And Douala had the first chance to strike at the 17th minute, shooting with head a corner kicked by Ngom Kome, but was failed by the goal on his line. A minute later, Samuel with a genius free kicked obtained by makoun scored his first goal in this competition. Cameroonians kept on dominating the game, but on its first real chance, Angola took its chance to come back with a penalty obtained by Akwa. The lions put again Angola under pressure, like Samuel Eto’o who deviated with head from Webo who didn’t find the net, or Geremi after piercing the defence, failed his shot which headed to Webo who passed Makoun, who also missed the net. But no longer after Angola had scored, Samuel Eto’o pushed the ball in the net after a good kick from the left of Douala, and gave advantage to Cameroon, and the two teams left the field on this score.
In the second half time, Angola tried to gain the control of the game, what they succeeded in for a while, but didn’t find the key to pass trough a very strong defence and midfield. Akwa kept hope shining with some good chances to score, but Samuel eto’o definitely crushed this hope with his third goal. After a good rush of Ngom Kome, at the entrance of the last square, Samuel Eto’o realized a great shoot, heading the ball directly in the net. Then, indomitable lions quietly waited for the end of the game, keeping the balls, facing players running out of energy.
To sum up, Cameroonians have played well today, having a ratio chances to score / goals much better than usually, with a really inspired Samuel Eto'o who appears like a contestant for the best scorer of this can. Near him, Webo was good too, as the center of the attacks, and seems to be very completar with Samuel Eto'o, just as Patrick Mboma was. In the midfield, Douala was very good today, gave hard time to the defence, and realized an assist for Samuel Eto'o. At the left side of the midfield, Ngom Kome was good, knowing when to push back the strikes, or when to strike. He also realized and assist for Samuel Eto'o at the end of the game. Concerning Makoun, there is very few to say, as the midfield was everywhere, present for stealing, for launching strikes, and caused the free kick which caused the first goal. Behind the midfield, the defence did what it had to, but there was some errors. Geremi has been replaced defensively, and appears to be the key to the problems Cameroun has known with the right side of its side.
Notice that Song was playing for his 100th with the lions.
Let's hope Cameroonians will keep on this, and will make it to the finals
